Measuring infinity

Very few things that have happened since 11 September have chilled me quite as much as hearing the codename for the deployment of the US forces: 'Operation Infinite Justice'. This is it, then, George Bush's 'measured response' to the terrorist attacks; an operation whose name implies that it has no limits, no end. Excuse me if I'm just a little bit terrified by that idea.
