Well, the three of us in the office are fairly evenly split on this story about Beckham admitting that he deliberately fouled Ben Thatcher. I feel that he was wrong to do it, and stupid and irresponsible to admit it and suggest that it was a good thing. E feels that doing it was pretty much OK and sensible, but admitting it was wrong. And T doesn't feel that any of it was wrong - it's all part of the modern game.
What do you think?
(Mind you, I do feel that this is the sort of quote that's calculated to make Alistair McGowan give up satire forever: "I'm sure some people think that I have not got the brains to be that clever. But I do have the brains. I could feel the injury. So I fouled Thatcher.")
