Going Postal
Dec. 16th, 2004 11:05 amI'm a few chapters into Terry Pratchett's latest novel Going Postal (*). I'm loving it so far (and besotted by one of the characters, as anyone who's read the book and knows my taste in women could have predicted instantly, I think). I'm now at that awkward stage of the book where I just want to do nothing else but sit and read the thing until I've finished it just to see how it ends, but also want that experience to last as long as possible because I know it'll be about nine months until the next one (and possibly a couple of years before the next one that's this good).
I think this is one I'll re-read several times (like Night Watch, which always makes me cry, and The Fifth Elephant, which makes me cheer. And think.).
* Regular readers of Terry will spot something rather odd about that sentence.
