Daddy Alex doesn't write nearly enough on the other blog! But you're entirely right. Daddy Richard writes the guest reviews on Millennium (usually, Millennium writes his own pieces, of course), though we all bounce around ideas after we've watched it...
I thought it was one of Richard's harshest reviews, but while - like you - I quite enjoyed it at the time, it seemed to fall to pieces more each time we discussed a bit. My one-line review would be, 'Voyage of the Damned with added sharks, but much less to it'. Though I like Voyage much more than Richard does!
