'Hobbits' found to have lived in Indonesia.

This is just amazingly cool in so many ways. Especially the bit about them hunting dwarf elephants and living up trees to escape Komodo Dragons. I think it's too much to hope that there are still some surviving today, but even 12,000 years is the blink of an eye in terms of human evolution.

Oh, wow! And yes, relatively recent. That's very cool.

"The whole idea that you need a particular brain size to do anything intelligent is completely blown away by this find," Dr Gee commented. That could have some interesting implications.
