Renewing my political hack credentials

It's not quite 20 years since I've been to a Liberal Party Conference, but it is long enough ago that it was the Liberal Party, not the (Social and) Liberal Democrats. However, in a fit of political activism, I've just registered for the Spring Conference in Harrogate at the start of March.

No doubt I'll see a couple of people on my friends list there. ;-)

I may not be looking for cheap; I can probably afford mid-range (even in Harrogate). Also, it's entirely possible that lizw will be coming, too, and we'll be sharing a hotel room.

Yes - the honking great black hat covers my grey hairs rather well. ;-)

I did go to the 1997 election night party dressed as Lenin (I've got an appropriate coat and hat).
