I got hit by a car while cycling home today. I'm okay, but for a value of okay that involved spending five hours at Whipps Cross A & E where they put my fractured left wrist in plaster. I have a nasty graze on my cheek, too. Nothing life-threatening, or likely to be long-term serious.

All plans for the next week or so are potentially off, and any plans involving my driving a car any time in the next couple of months should be re-arranged (sorry dreamsewing).

Oh, crap! Hope you're not in too much pain, and that everything heals quickly.

Sorry if you've heard this already, but it might be worth seeing your GP and talking about a physio referral for when the plaster comes off.
